Over 60 per cent of Brunei children vaccinated


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network): The Covid-19 vaccination rate for children aged five to 11 breaches the 60-per-cent mark with 26,073 doses (60.8 per cent) having been administered as of Monday (May 9).

This was revealed by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Mohd Isham Jaafar at the press conference on Tuesday.

The minister said 1,543 doses of vaccine were administered to children in the age group on Monday.

Dr Mohd Isham also said 1,226 children were administered the second dose bringing the number of those with two shots to 4,808 (11.2 per cent).

The minister added that the coverage rate of Brunei population with three doses of Covid-19 vaccine stands at 66.7 per cent.
