BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network): The Ministry of Health (MoH) recorded 6,811 children aged five to 11, or 15.9 per cent of the age group, who have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, said Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Mohd Isham Jaafar at the daily press conference on Tuesday (April 12).
The minister said on Monday, a total of 1,144 doses of the vaccine were administered to children aged five to 11.
Parents or guardians may bring their children to get vaccinated by booking a slot through the BruHealth app.
They are also reminded to create and complete the authentication process for their children’s accounts on the app.
Meanwhile, 62.4 per cent of the population have received three doses of the vaccine.
During Ramahan, vaccination centre services nationwide will run from 8.30am to 1pm on Monday to Thursday and Saturday, and close every Friday, Sunday and public holidays.
Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Awang Abu Bakar Apong also attended the press conference.
