JAKARTA (The Jakarta Post/Asia News Network): The government said that no deal has been reached with Malaysia on a five-year negotiation to renew an agreement on Indonesian domestic workers, despite continued signals from Kuala Lumpur that the two neighbours are close to finalising the deal.

Indonesia and Malaysia had a bilateral agreement on the placement and protection of Indonesian domestic workers since 2006, which was renewed once in 2011 but expired in 2016.
