Myanmar reports 1,586 new Covid-19 infections, one more death

YANGON (Xinhua): Myanmar confirmed 1,586 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 548,357, according to a release from its Ministry of Health on Monday (Feb 14).

The ministry said that a total of 23,874 lab samples were tested on Monday, and the daily positivity rate was 6.64 per cent.

The coronavirus death toll in the country has risen to 19,311 after one more death from Covid-19 was reported in the past 24 hours, the release said.

An additional 546 recovered Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals on Monday, bringing the total number of recoveries from the pandemic in the country to 518,076.
