Thailand's foreign trade up 23.1 per cent in 2021


BANGKOK, Jan. 21 (Xinhua): Thailand's foreign trade volume totalled US$538.77 billion in 2021, up 23.1 percent from one year earlier, the Ministry of Commerce announced Friday.

Exports, a main engine powering the country's economic growth, expanded 17.1 per cent year on year, the highest growth rate since 2010.

Its imports surged 29.8 per cent last year, also the fastest pace of increase in 11 years, according to the ministry.
