Philippine train stations, LRT, MRT to also enforce ‘no vax, no ride’ policy on passengers

MANILA (Philippine Daily Inquirer/Asia News Network): The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Friday (Jan 14) said the “no vaccine, no ride policy” will also be enforced in all trains and stations of the Light Rail Transit (LRT), Metro Rail Transit (MRT), and the Philippine National Railway (PNR) starting Monday (Jan 17).

“Only fully vaccinated passengers will be allowed entry into the train stations upon presentation of any valid government-issued IDs and any of the following: physical or digital copies of LGU-issued vaccination card; DOH-issued vaccination certification; and any IATF-prescribed document,” said Transportation Undersecretary for Railways Timothy John Batan.
