Laos: Holiday hotspots bustling again as visitors return thanks to the Laos-China Railway opening


VIENTIANE, Jan 7 (Vientiane Times/ANN): Popular tourist sites in Luang Prabang province and Vangvieng district, Vientiane province, are once again filled with activity following the opening of the Laos-China railway, which has brought thousands of people out of the capital for a welcome breath of fresh air.

More than 2,600 people, both Lao and foreign, visited Vangvieng district last month, spending more than one billion kip, according to the district’s information, culture and tourism office.
