Indonesia aims to produce reagents for test to detect Omicron variant

JAKARTA (Bernama): Indonesian Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin on Monday (Dec 27) said that the country has set a target to produce special reagents for the S Gene Target Failure (SGTF) test to detect the Omicron variant.

According to Vietnam News Agency (VNA), Budi previously explained that the difference between the ordinary PCR test and the SGTF PCR test lies in the special reagent kit needed for SGTF.
