BEIJING (China Daily/Asia News Network): More than 4 million residents in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, underwent nucleic acid testing for Covid-19 on Thursday (Dec 23) after a third round of testing began at 8am.
All communities, villages and workplaces were closed effective Thursday, and residents have been asked not to leave the city unless "extremely necessary", according to a statement released by the city government.
