BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Nov 19 (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): A total of 313,239 individuals (or 72.8 per cent of the populace) are fully vaccinated, while 394,039 (91.6 per cent of the populace) have received the first dose of the vaccine under the National Covid-19 Vaccination Programme.
Brunei Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Mohd Isham Jaafar said at the daily press conference in the capital that November 17 saw the inoculation of 7,656 individuals, among them 2,797 adolescents.
The Mobile Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic services at Lamunin Health Centre recorded the inoculation of 187 residents from Mukim Lamunin, Ukong, Rambai and its surroundings.
Meanwhile, the Indoor Stadium Vaccination Centre will operate from 2.30pm to 9.30pm today. The 2.30-5pm slot is reserved for students, while the 5-9.30pm slot is open to the public keen on receiving their first or second dose.
The minister said the Mobile COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic services will move on to Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Health Centre in Kampong Sungai Asam on Saturday, operating from 9am to noon.
On Sunday from 9am to 2.30pm, specifically for unvaccinated residents from Kampong Sungai Asam, including Mukim Lumapas, Kampong Ayer and its surroundings, and residents scheduled to receive their second shot.
“The public can walk in with their identification card or passport; Bru-HIMS card (or number) if available; as well as the Covid-19 vaccination card (for those receiving the second dose),” he said.
Individuals who require transport and those who are unable to make it to the health centre due to poor health can inform their village head for assistance.
On Friday (Nov 19), Brunei recorded no Covid-19 deaths and a relatively low 21 new cases. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
