Jokowi inaugurates 12 more ambassadors, military chiefs

JAKARTA (The Jakarta Post/Asia News Network): President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo swore in 12 more ambassadors on Wednesday (Nov 17), rounding off a string of inaugurations that include the new Indonesian Military (TNI) commander, the Army chief of staff and the head of the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB).

Among the latest batch of envoys, four stand out as non-career appointees: politicians Rudy Alfonso and Zuhairi Misrawi, pulp and paper tycoon Gandi Sulistiyanto, and former forestry minister M. Prakosa.
