PHNOM PENH, Nov 16 (Phnom Penh Post/ANN): Although the Covid-19 outbreak has had a prolonged impact on the economy from late 2019 to 2021, it has had little effect on tax revenue, reflecting the effectiveness of tax governance and transparency efforts, according to General Department of Taxation (GDT) chief Kong Vibol.

The GDT said in a statement that it had collected more than $2.3 billion in revenue in the first 10 months of this year, marking a 5.05 per cent year-on-year decrease, noting that this represents 103.23 per cent of the annual target, as outlined in the Law on Financial Management for 2021.
