LAOS (Vientiane Times/Asia New Network): The Health Ministry will provide booster Covid-19 vaccinations for medical staff, so they are better protected and able to continue the battle against the virus.
The third round of vaccinations is expected to be rolled out in January and February next year, with at least 70,000 doses to be administered to medical staff. Deputy Director of the National Centre for Maternal and Child Health, Dr Viengkhan Phixay, said yesterday that medical staff working on the frontline of efforts to control the virus outbreak are at highest risk because they work in close proximity to people infected with Covid on a daily basis.
