Thai PM downplays fears of surge in infections after Nov 1 reopening


BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia New Network): Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O-Cha said on Friday (Oct 22) that Thailand is ready to welcome travellers from low-risk countries in a bid to revive Thailand’s economy.

Government spokesman Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana said fully-vaccinated travellers from 46 countries will be allowed to enter Thailand from Nov 1 without having to quarantine.
