VIENTIANE (Xinhua): The Lao Ministry of Health on Thursday (Oct 21) reported two new Covid-19 deaths in the past 24 hours, raising its national death toll to 49.

Director General of the Department of Communicable Disease Control under the Lao Ministry of Health Rattanaxay Phetsouvanh, told a press conference here on Thursday that the country recorded 388 new Covid-19 infections and two new deaths over the past 24 hours, raising the total infections tally to 33,994.
