Cambodian polls panel registers over 30,000 new voters

PHNOM PENH (The Phnom Penh Post/Asia News Network): The National Election Committee (NEC) said that in the first three days of voter list verification and registration that commenced on Oct 12, more than 30,000 new voters have been registered.

In a preliminary report released on Oct 14, it said that besides the 34,944 new voters, 8,001 people have made corrections to their names while 10,157 have relocated to other communes.
