Philippines reports 8,615 new Covid-19 cases, 236 more deaths as Metro Manila plans to shorten curfew time


MANILA, Oct. 12 (Xinhua):The Philippines' Department of Health (DOH) reported 8,615 new Covid-19 infections on Tuesday, pushing the number of confirmed cases in the South-East Asian country to 2,683,372.

The DOH also reported that 236 more people died from Covid-19 complications, bringing the country's death toll to 39,896.
