TOKYO (Bloomberg): Japan’s Fumio Kishida (pic) will be appointed prime minister by parliament Monday, and reveal a new cabinet lineup as he seeks to revive support for his ruling party in the run-up to a general election a report said would come this month.
Parliament will convene at 1pm in Tokyo, where the Liberal Democratic Party will use its majority to formally elect Kishida. The new prime minister will then name his cabinet.
