Over 80% of Cambodia's population get Covid jabs as govt confirms another 816 new cases

PHNOM PENH, Sept 25 (Phnom Penh Post/ANN): More than 80 per cent of the Kingdom’s total population of 16 million have been vaccinated against Covid-19, at least with their first doses, according to the Ministry of Health on Saturday.

As of Friday night (Sept 24), Cambodia had vaccinated over 98 per cent of the adult population of 10 million and more than 88 per cent of the 12-17 age group of nearly two million.

Vaccinations for the 6-11 age group of over 1.8 million have reached 70 per cent.

Olso on Saturday (Sept 25), The Ministry of Health reported 816 new Covid-19 cases, 114 of which were imported.

The ministry also reported 21 new deaths and 554 recoveries.

As of Saturday, Cambodia also had recorded a total of 108,257 Covid-19 cases with 100,182 recoveries and 2,218 fatalities. - Phnom Penh Post/ANN
