MANILA, Sept. 25 (Xinhua): The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) of the Philippines said Saturday that the long-run cost of the Covid-19 pandemic to the country would reach 37 trillion pesos (US$730.04 billion) in the next 10 to 40 years.
"Broken down, in 2020, we lost 4.3 trillion pesos (US$84.84 billion); in the next 10 to 40 years, we estimate that we will lose up to 37 trillion pesos (US$730.04 billion)," Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Karl Kendrick Chua said in a statement.
