US journalist Danny Fenster (pic), imprisoned in Myanmar for almost four months while awaiting trial, appeared disheartened during a court hearing, his lawyer said.
Fenster has been charged with incitement – spreading inflammatory information – an offence for which he could be sentenced to up to three years in prison.
