Singapore's new Covid-19 cases cross 1,000 mark, highest number since Apr 23 as unvaccinated man, 90, dies from complications


The 90-year-old man who died had a history of cancer, heart disease and pneumonia and was taken to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases. SINGAPORE, Sept 18 (The Straits Times/ANN): Singapore saw its 60th Covid-19 fatality when an unvaccinated 90-year-old man died on Friday (Sept 17), said the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Saturday.

Singapore also saw more than 1,000 Covid-19 cases on Saturday, with a total of 1,009 new cases reported, the highest daily number since April 23 last year.
