China's industrial output up 5.3% year-on-year in August

BEIJING (Xinhua): China's value-added industrial output, an important economic indicator, went up 5.3 perc ent year-on-year in August, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed Wednesday (Sept 15).

The figure was up 11.2 per cent from the level in August 2019, bringing the average growth for the past two years to 5.4 per cent, NBS data showed.
