Vietnam immunises people with shots of different vaccines amid supplies shortage in country

BANGKOK, Sept 10 (Bernama): Vietnamese health officials have allowed Pfizer and Moderna vaccines to be used interchangeably amid Covid-19 vaccine supply shortages, Sputnik quoted the official Vietnam News has reported.

Since the beginning of the week, people in Vietnam's largest metropolis, Ho Chi Minh City, most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, have been offered a second dose of Pfizer as an alternative to Moderna vaccine due to the supplies shortage of the latter one. The only source of Moderna at the moment is a five-million-doses donation from the US via COVAX Facility, VietnamNews added.
