Strict Covid-19 control measures extended for one month in Brunei with more Chinese vaccines on the way


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Sept 5 (Xinhua): Brunei extended its partial Covid-19 national lockdown measures for one month as the South-East Asian country is reporting in more cases and cluster with vaccine stockpiles reducing rapidly.

"Taking into account that the current situation is still unstable in Brunei and the postponement of the first dose vaccine administration in the National Vaccination Programme, it is hereby announced that the control measures that have been restricted and informed during the Ministry of Health's press conference on Aug 21, 2021, which is supposed to expire on Sept 4, 2021, is further extended until Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021," the health ministry said in a press statement.
