Vietnam's new Covid-19 cases surpass 12,000

HANOI (Xinhua): Vietnam reported a new high of 12,096 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday (Aug 25), surpassing the previous daily record of 11,321 cases from Aug 21, according to the country's Ministry of Health.

The new infections included 12,093 locally transmitted and three imported, which brought the total tally to 381,363, with 9,349 deaths, the ministry said.
