BANGKOK, Aug 24 (Bernama): Thailand plans to conduct mass active case detection at all fresh markets in Bangkok and 28 maximum and strict controlled areas in bid to curb the spread of Covid-19 outbreak in the kingdom.
As health authorities found fresh markets to be one of the major Covid-19 clusters, the Public Health Ministry proposed to conduct active case detection - which is expected to involve more than 200,000 people - at 684 fresh markets in Bangkok and 28 provinces categorised as ‘dark red zone’.
