Ex-tabloid editor shot dead in Philippine salon

MANILA (Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN): A former tabloid editor was killed while her companion remains in critical condition after they were shot in Quezon City, authorities said on Wednesday (Aug 18).

Initial investigation revealed that former Remate editor Gwen Salamida and her companion Oliver Perona were inside Salamida’s beauty salon on Kaingin Road, Barangay Apolonio Samson Tuesday afternoon when the gunman entered and opened fire, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said in a report.
