NEW YORK, Aug 6 (Bernama): United Nations (UN) Secretary-General António Guterres has welcomed the appointment of Brunei’s Foreign Minister II Erywan Mohd Yusof as Special Envoy of the Association of South-East Asian Nations (Asean) Chair on Myanmar, said his spokesman.
This appointment is an important step towards the implementation of the consensus adopted at the Asean leaders meeting on April 24, said Stephane Dujarric in a statement.
