MANILA (Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN): Over 7.8 million Filipinos have so far have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19,Malacañang said Friday (July 30).
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said the government has administered a total of 7,835,715 Covid-19 shots as the second dose, while it has administered over 11.5 million doses as the first dose, or a total of 19.3 million doses administered in the country.
“We expect that we will reach our target of 20 million doses administered before the month of July ends,” he said in a televised announcement over state-run PTV 4.
Roque noted that for three consecutive days, the government was able to surpass its daily jab target of 500,000, with 646,390 shots administered on Thursday alone. - Philippine Daily Inquirer/Asia News Network
