Brunei raises Covid awareness through entertainment

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): The Information Department at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) held stage performances in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah’s 75th birthday celebration recently.

This year, the Pentarama showcased a sketch titled Covid oh Covid performed by Kumpulan Putera Seni.

The drama focussed on raising awareness relating to coronavirus including the National Covid-19 Vaccination Programme, urging the public to adhere to the standard operating procedure and guidelines from the Ministry of Health (MoH).

Legislative Council member Abdul Wahab Apong as Penghulu of Mukim Tanjong Maya was the guest of honour.

Acting Director of Information Shahrul Jeffri Ibrahim in his capacity as Advisor for Pentarama 2021 and Acting Deputy Director Sastra Sarini Julaini were also present.

The performance began with Pentarama theme song, singing performance from local artistes including Khairul Nazri, Pengiran Shahminan, Atikah Thane and Fatin Muzini, along with Tausyeh performance Serikandi Seni.

There was also a comedy sketch from BruHaha’s Najib and Loh. The audience participated in quizzes and the prizes were presented by the guest of honour.

The Pentarama will continue at Belait District tomorrow at Gerai Tudung Saji and Temburong District on July 30 at Pentas Perayaan, Pekan Bangar. - Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network
