Covid-19 cases increase to almost 230,000 in Myanmar

YANGON, July 19 (Xinhua): The number of Covid-19 cases in Myanmar has increased to 229,521 on Sunday night (July 18) after 5,285 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours, according to a release from the Ministry of Health and Sports.

Another 231 deaths were reported, bringing the death toll to 5,000 in the country as of Sunday, the release said.
