BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Xinhua): Brunei's overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) in April 2021 increased by 1.1 per cent year-on-year, according to the latest figures released on Wednesday (June 30).
According to the country's Department of Economic Planning and Statistics at the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the CPI rise was contributed mainly by increases in the prices and costs of transport (7.2 per cent); food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.5 per cent); and communication (1.8 per cent).
