Hot clouds slide down 2km from Indonesian volcano Merapi's summit

JAKARTA (Xinhua): Indonesia's most active volcano Merapi has emitted hot clouds sliding down as far as 2,000 m to the southeast, the Geological Disaster Technology Research and Development Center (BPPTKG) said Tuesday (June 29).

The hot clouds erupted at 11.32am local time with an amplitude of 60mm, a duration of 152 seconds, and winds moving to the west.
