ROAD traffic accidents are the leading cause of deaths and injuries in Cambodia, costing the South-East Asian nation about US$466mil (RM1.9bil) a year, according to a report.
Jointly conducted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the National Road Safety Committee (NRSC), the report said in 2019, Cambodia saw more than 2,000 deaths and almost 13,700 injuries due to traffic accidents, with an average of 5.4 people dying daily.
