Twin panda births bring joy to Tokyo

TOKYO: A panda at Tokyo’s Ueno Zoo has given birth to twins, weeks after news of Shin Shin’s pregnancy sent stocks in nearby restaurants soaring.

The cubs were born in the early hours of yesterday, the zoo said, adding that it had not yet confirmed the genders of the pair.
