Lao authorities, people urged to be cautious over spread of Delta Covid-19 variant


VIENTIANE (Xinhua): The Lao Ministry of Health has urged authorities and people countrywide to remain cautious, as the new Delta coronavirus variant is spreading in other countries.

The Lao government has instructed authorities across the country to strictly monitor the border and record information about people entering Laos, in a bid to stop the spread of Covid-19, according to a report by the health ministry on Wednesday (June 23).
