Duo fined for vaccine possession

THE Koh Kong Provincial Court released two Chinese nationals after they paid a fine for the illegal possession of Sinovac Covid-19 vaccines without permission.

Cham Yeam border checkpoint officers arrested the duo on June 16.

In the operation, 65 doses of Sinovac vaccine, 45 syringes, cotton swabs, gloves, three bottles of alcohol sanitiser and a car were confiscated.

The suspects were obliged to pay a fine of between US$1,250 and US$2,500 (RM5,170 and RM10,340). — The Phnom Penh Post/ANN
