MANILA (The Straits Times/ANN): The outgoing chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court is seeking a full probe into allegations of “crimes against humanity” against Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte, whose bloody drug war has left thousands dead since 2016.

In a 57-page report to the ICC’s judges, Fatou Bensouda said “there is a reasonable basis to believe” that security forces and state-sanctioned “vigilantes” killed 12, 000 to 30, 000 drug suspects from July 1, 2016, to March 16, 2019.
