YANGON (Reuters): Pro-democracy demonstrators took to the streets in towns around Myanmar on Tuesday (June 1) to denounce the country's military, marking four months since it ousted an elected government and unleashed a wave of nationwide anger.
Despite a bloody crackdown by security forces, Myanmar's military is still struggling to impose order amid protests and strikes, and fighting on multiple fronts in border regions as civilians take up arms against the junta.
