Philippines investigating illegal sale of Covid-19 shots, vaccination slots

MANILA, May 22 (Reuters): The Philippines is investigating reports that some people have been illegally selling Covid-19 shots or their vaccination slots for financial gain, officials said on Saturday (May 22), as they reminded the public the vaccines are free.

Law enforcers learnt of the illicit activity through social media posts, where sellers offer vaccination appointments for as much as 15,000 pesos (S$416), Philippine police chief Guillermo Eleazar said in a statement.
