PHNOM PENH (The Phnom Penh Post/ANN): Phnom Penh municipal governor Khuong Sreng on May 7 urged people to remain calm and not be provoked into vying for Covid-19 vaccines, assuring that everyone will eventually get the jabs and there will be no shortage.

As of May 6, he said 472,646 Phnom Penh residents had received their first doses, while 127,757 others had gotten their second shots.

Sreng said according to the government's master plan, all people in Phnom Penh will be vaccinated by the end of June. But some “ill-intended people”, he added, had incited people to flock to vaccination sites which could cause disorder and disrupt the process.

He called on people to wait for their turn as assigned by the local authorities. - The Phnom Penh Post/Asia News
