Philippines logs 7,733 new Covid-19 cases as recoveries top one million mark

MANILA (Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN): The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Friday (May 7) an additional 7,733 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the nationwide active infections to 66,626.

According to DOH, active cases compose 6.1 per cent of all the 1,087,885 confirmed Covid-19 cases in the country recorded since the onset of the pandemic. Of the active cases, 96.3 per cent are mild and asymptomatic.
