BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, April 18 (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Brunei Darussalam continued its streak of no new Covid-19 cases on Sunday morning, keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 221.
The Sultanate has recorded no new local transmissions for 346 days.
Eleven active cases are receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre in Tutong District.
According to the Ministry of Health (MoH), 588 individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after returning from abroad, while 16,817 individuals have completed their mandatory self-isolation.
Over the past 24 hours, 240 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the total number of tests conducted since January 2020 to 117,972.
Healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there have been 186 cases in Brunei-Muara District, 29 in Belait District and six in Tutong District.
For the ongoing national vaccination programme, 7,725 individuals have been vaccinated since April 3, 2021. The breakdown showed 5,922 had been vaccinated in Brunei-Muara District, 766 in Belait District, 673 in Tutong District and 364 in Temburong District. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
