Thailand reports record daily increase of 1,582 Covid-19 cases

BANGKOK (Xinhua): Thailand reported 1,582 new Covid-19 cases on Friday( April 16), the highest number in a day since the pandemic began, rising for the third consecutive day, according to the Center for the Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA).

The latest wave of infections in the Southeast Asian country brought the country's total caseload to 39,038, with 97 fatalities.
