PARIS (AFP): An international consortium has suspended a us$1.5 billion hydropower dam project in Myanmar in response to last month's military coup, consortium member Electricite de France, a French utility, said Sunday (March 21).
Nearly 250 people are confirmed dead in protests since the Feb 1 military coup, according to tolls compiled by NGOs, and more than 2,300 others have been arrested.
