Thai army prepares border camps for 40,000 Myanmar refugees


BANGKOK (The Nation/ANN): The Army is preparing 23 refugee camps in the border province of Tak to accommodate Myanmar nationals fleeing the deadly crackdown following the Feb 1 coup.

The 3rd Army Area command said on Friday (March 19) it had also drafted a plan that includes border health screening and arranging camps for almost 40,000 refugees.
