One week with no new Covid-19 cases in Brunei


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Brunei Darussalam marked seven days with no new Covid-19 cases keeping the tally of confirmed cases in the country at 185.

One active case is receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre (NIC) in the Tutong District.

According to the Ministry of Health (MoH) in its daily Covid-19 update in the country, Brunei Darussalam has had no local transmissions for 294 days.

The MoH acquired 100 samples for SARS-CoV-2 virus testing over the past 24 hours, and carried out 99,479 tests since January 2020.

Seven hundred and sixty-nine individuals are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at government monitoring centres after arriving from abroad while 13,395 individuals have completed their stint since March 2020.

Healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there have been 150 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 29 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
