Singapore, US reaffirm wide-ranging cooperation

SINGAPORE (The Straits Times/ANN): Singapore and the United States have reaffirmed their wide-ranging cooperation on defence and security, trade and investment, as well as cybersecurity, Minister for Foreign Affairs Vivian Balakrishnan said in a phone call with US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan on Tuesday (Feb 16).

Dr Balakrishnan also expressed support for the United States' leadership role in tackling important global issues such as the Covid-19 pandemic and climate change, and expressed Singapore's readiness to cooperate with the US on these fronts, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said in a statement.
