BEIJING: As more confirmed and asymptomatic cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Chinese provinces and cities, a notice has been issued, strongly recommended that people avoid non-essential travel during the upcoming Spring Festival holiday to reduce the risk of the virus spreading.

Measures would be taken to ensure people could have a safe, healthy and happy holiday, said the notice, which was released recently by the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council, the country’s Cabinet.
